What do army ants have to do with God?
For centuries, everyone, including the mainstream world have determined and proven that prayer is powerful. You can deny many things but the power of prayer is not one of them. Countless studies have proven that people get better when others pray for them.
I have often wondered what it is that in prayer that makes it so powerful. I know the traditional words of preachers and teachers that it is "communion with God", and its "intimacy with God", and I understand that but I am a visual person.
Today God has given me an image that makes this much more understandable. That is, the power of prayer. It is said that, "Many hands make a heavy load lighter." I just got home from church today, after hearing an awesome word on Prayer. There was a discovery channel program on Army Ants.
It is known that millions of army ants can take down animals 1000's of times their size. This is done by working together..communicating to one another and their leader through a series of chemicals.
This is just like prayer! We communication to God through Prayer to get his game plan, and then we pray together and God spreads his game play! Just like a huddle in a football game, the game play is spread, then we go out and do it! Like my pastor said of, the dude in china that started a massive church (millions), "pray then obey!". First we pray to get the game plan, then we obey that God says! So simple, yet so powerful! It has caused me to really rethink my Prayer time, and I am anxious to spend a LOT of time with God, because I want to know the Game Plan and I want to play for the team! Would you like to reach out and touch your creator? He is here and waiting! It is the GOODNESS of God that draws man to repentance. Not the meanness. See, for so long, many in church have tried to scare people into accepting jESUS and along with the Church's rules. You dont have to accept the church to accept jESUS! He is waiting for you to REACH OUT AND TOUCH Him! Get to know Him! you know the Bible says that God is Love, so God has to love ya, right? Does anywhere in the Bible say He has to Like ya? NOPE...but He does, because He created you for the sole purpose of being His. By many distractions, we have been laid away from Him. He is calling us back into His arms. Even if their was the teeny tiniest chance that what I am saying is correct, wouldn't you like to touch Him? He is waiting! All you have to do is...talk to Him! Just like your friends! Yo Whats up God! Just thought Id let you know that I love you, and want to hang out more! That's what it takes! Just think of your closest friend... Just think how close that friend would be if you always had something better to do? Wouldn't be very close, would they? That is how God is! The bible says we were created in His likeness, in other words, JUST LIKE HIM....so if your friend wouldn't be close if you didnt hang out with him, don't you think you would be closer to God by hanging out with Him? Why is SEX Taboo in the Church?
Why is Sex so Taboo in the church? For centuries the church hasnt wanted to say anything concerning sexual needs or the sex in general. Why is this?Is it because they don't have an answer and are generally disconnected from the modern mainstream culture and needs?
