Sure, God is powerful, but is He truly all we need? He is, but I learned that in prison, convicted of murder. We planned to adopt a little boy we met at church, but when he died in our home from a rare, fatal disease, our lives collapsed. My husband and I were accused of murder, and I received a life sentence. Why did He allow this to happen to me when all I ever wanted to do was serve Him? I questioned God's goodness, but as the years passed I saw that God's perfect plan for my life included that prison. I could still serve Him there.

The Bible is the story of God’s pursuit and redemption of His chosen people. It is filled with stories of ordinary, sinful people just like us who God rescued from darkness and despair and delivered into the Kingdom of Light, bringing Hope. The tale of your life is a story within this larger story.

How do we wage war against forces we cannot even see? There is only one weapon: Prayer! The battle is won or lost on our knees: the battlefield to engage dark powers is the prayer closet.
