Sure, God is powerful, but is He truly all we need? He is, but I learned that in prison, convicted of murder. We planned to adopt a little boy we met at church, but when he died in our home from a rare, fatal disease, our lives collapsed. My husband and I were accused of murder, and I received a life sentence. Why did He allow this to happen to me when all I ever wanted to do was serve Him? I questioned God's goodness, but as the years passed I saw that God's perfect plan for my life included that prison. I could still serve Him there.

The Bible is the story of God’s pursuit and redemption of His chosen people. It is filled with stories of ordinary, sinful people just like us who God rescued from darkness and despair and delivered into the Kingdom of Light, bringing Hope. The tale of your life is a story within this larger story.
Sometimes our lives don’t turn out quite how we’ve expected. Our families disappoint us, our friends fail us, our relationships hurt us and our decisions leave us reaping unfavorable consequences. How can this be part of God’s story? Does God’s plan actually align with my circumstances? In this workshop, we will:
We are in the middle of a war that rages all around us—and not just here on earth. Ephesians 6:12 says, "for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
How do we wage war against forces we cannot even see? There is only one weapon: Prayer! The battle is won or lost on our knees: the battlefield to engage dark powers is the prayer closet. But we must be trained to fight. Like an army commander, we need a battle plan, a strategy that allows us to fight with courage and confidence. This workshop teaches you:
Are you living a life full of fear and skepticism?
Are you imprisoned by your fearful thoughts? Are you allowing the difficult situations in your life to control you? When we allow fear to rule us, we make fear more powerful than God. We all have struggled with fear at one time or another: Fear of rejection, misunderstanding, uncertainty, sickness, even death. I invite you to come hear how I have conquered fear through the light of our Lord who brings eternal salvation! In this workshop, I will talk about:
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1 Life was not supposed to look like this? What happened to the hopes and dreams I had for my future? How could God let this happen? I DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS!
How many times have you asked these same questions, not understanding why things didn’t turn out as you had expected? This workshop explores pain – such as divorce, loss of a child, abortion and abuse - and deals head-on with the emotions and hurts that come with problems. Sometimes the pain that take us by storm is not of our own doing or understanding.
